Semicerchio. Journal of Comparative Poetry, founded in 1986, joined the Center for Comparative Studies in 2005. Semicerchio publishes research dossiers on the history of themes and forms in poetry, as well as essays, translations and reviews on books about poetry and theory of literature from all over the world.
It organizes conferences, seminars and meetings with international authors, included personalities awarded with prizes such as Nobel, Pulitzer, Académie Française, Strega or Viareggio prize, also in collaboration with Tuscan, national, European and extra-European universities and institutes.
The Journal has also been promoting a school of creative writing in Florence for 30 years.
